Our Story

As MDS Consultants, our journey began with extensive experience as MDS Coordinators in the long-term care setting. Over time, it became increasingly evident that the workload often exceeded the available time for its completion. While new MDS Coordinators were eager to contribute, they frequently lacked clear direction on what tasks required their attention and how to address them effectively.

Recognizing the need for a more streamlined solution to encompass all the vital components of the MDS department, we resolved to create one. This solution was aimed at addressing various critical aspects, including IDT/nursing education, the attainment of 5-star ratings, the enhancement of quality measures, the optimization of reimbursement rates, and ensuring compliance with state regulations, among others.

Having personally experienced the challenges, pressures, and expectations placed on both care facilities and MDS Coordinators to achieve these multifaceted goals, we were inspired to take action. Our passion for MDS and our genuine desire to provide guidance and solutions led to the establishment of Assured MDS.
